The only detail that caught me off guard was the absence of a small hole on the opposite side of the lid from the drinking hole. However, I have decided I prefer it without the small hole for air flow because I would like to use this lid set as a sippy cup and the slower flow will probably serve better. I wanted a lid and stainless steel straw to use with a glass mason jar for iced beverages this summer. I am pleased with this product and would recommend it to others. I do feel that the straw is longer than I need it to be; I am using a pint size jar. I also wish the straw hole in the lid was lined with some sort of silicon as the straw makes a jingling sound against the lid while driving around town. The only detail that caught me off guard was the absence of a small hole on the opposite side of the lid from the drinking hole. However, I have decided I prefer it without the small hole for air flow because I would like to use this lid set as a sippy cup and the slower flow will probably serve better. I have been testing the lid myself and really enjoy the whole set.
